An RVSF is a government-authorized centre licensed under the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021, notified by MoRTH. It is the only legally recognized facility permitted to permanently deregister and dismantle End-of-Life Vehicles in India.
Private / non-transport vehicles that are 15 years or older and commercial / transport vehicles that are 10 years or older, if they fail the fitness re-test, must be scrapped at an authorized RVSF.
The CoD is the official government document issued upon successful scrapping of your vehicle. It is digitally generated via the VAHAN portal and unlocks government benefits such as road tax concessions and registration fee waivers.
You must bring the original Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), original Aadhaar card, original PAN card, and use the registered mobile number when visiting the facility.
The CoD is typically delivered digitally within 48 hours of the vehicle being received at our centre, subject to document verification.
